This one bedroom apartment, just completed renovations, is one of just two apartments located on the second floor at 30 Main Street, in downtown Vineyard Haven, officially known as Tisbury, the main year round port of entry. It is located within the old village and is just a block from the Stop N' Shop grocery store, the post office, pharmacy, movie theater, restaurants and the ferry. Public transportation is readily available. In order to head off common questions that arise I provide the following: 1. This is a no smoking premises. 2. There is no parking at the premises. 3. No pets are allowed. 4. There are no laundry facilities nor any plumbing connections for a laundry at this time. 

The apartment can accommodate as many as a three persons living as a family, but we prefer no more than 2 or a couple with a child.

The main entry off of Spring Street leads up a single flight of stairs through a common hall shared by just another single 3-bedroom apartment. One enters into a single living room / dining room with kitchen combination.

No pets and no smoking are mandated. The Tenant pays for the utilities, including heat and hot water, which are electric. We are informed by prior tenants that the electric bill is heavily dependent on the number of occupants - meaning more or fewer showers, use of air conditioning and heat, etc. It is also dependent on the habits of occupants - if you work more, then you keep the heat down during the day, etc. Some heat flows up from the businesses below to help with winter heating. There is no washer / dryer nor any connections for these. There is a dishwasher, however, which saves on hot water. The apartment can come with some sparse furnishings, if need be. We prefer to rent it unfurnished, especially if we are renting year - round. A single possible parking spot can be arranged through others within one block away at an additional fee. The Landlord is willing to subsidize half of the cost of the parking. 

SEASONALLY, OR YEAR - ROUND
Generally:

YEAR ROUND: During a Lease term commencing during September through February, we can rent the apartment on a year-round basis for $1,750.00 per month plus utilities.  During a lease commencing during the months of February 1 through September, the year-round occupancy agreements may still be available, but would be rented in three successive lease periods, over which the total annual rent of $21,000.00 is payable in which event the rates for spring ($1,900 a month March April May) and summer ($2,800.00 a month June July August Sept) are slightly higher and in winter, a bit lower at $1100/mo. (Oct - February the balance due divided by the number of months).  
SEASONALLY: For the season of late May - September, the apartment rent is $18,000.00. An application and references are required.  Earlier or later dates can be negotiated.
